Private investigator Stan Stanton refers to “I’ll See You in Hell,” as one of the most
bizarre cases in which he has ever been involved. It is a case where love, death, and
an attempt at international extortion unite in holy sanctum before the devil takes his
due.
In Havana, Cuba, Stan falls in love with Gena de la Silvestre, who introduces him to the
pleasures of the “Mulatta Girls” at a weekend together. He learns that his interpretation
of true love can be destroyed with no than the burst of flying bullets, as noted in
Chapter Four …
It was during our ecstasy that we were interrupted by a noise outside on the patio. I
turned and saw on the window curtains, the silhouette of a man with a machine gun.
Just as the curtains were pulled apart, I saw the flash of the gun spitting bullets into the
room. I rolled off Gena and with all my might pushed her to the opposite side of the
bed, causing her to fall to the floor. Bullets punctured every inch of the bed and filled
the room with smoke and flying feathers. While shading my eyes, I caught a glimpse of
repeated flashes from a handgun on Gena’s side of the bed. It was then that I looked
back at the patio, in time to see the perpetrating thug falling backward. As he collapsed
to the patio concrete, he continued to spray bullets recklessly into the air. Finally,
silence covered the room with the smell of death.
Because of Gena’s position as a Cuban government agent, she is forced to abandon
her relationship with Stan. Before he has time to sulk, he is off to another exciting
venture in Tanzania, Africa. It is there that he realizes how we overlook the pleasures of living in a progressive civilized world,
as he ponders Africa’s future as noted in Chapter Seven …
Laden with dust, barren dirt, and lifeless, this land and its people was smothered under an atmosphere that even the devil
would have passed up as totally worthless. I could only pray that over time, other nations and humanitarians would recognize
the value and beauty of this forgotten land and institute a revolution of faith and progress in the form of a helping hand. I truly
believe, Moshi is at its eleventh hour.
Under the shadow of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Stan encounters his demon nemesis, Igor, who for the sake of wealth tries to destroy,
with embarrassing vengeance, the purity of Africa and those who try desperately to contribute to its future.
Evading death, Stan again returns to Havana in pursuit of his nemesis will he avert an international biological threat? What
price must Stan pay for justice to be served?
